The Male Pelvic Trainer (60278)
Equally essential is the Male Pelvic Trainer; it forms a vital component of the clinical skills instruction and examination programme.

The modular design provides for:
  • dry catheterisation
  • testicular examination
  • rectal examination

The soft tissue elements of the Male Pelvic Trainer are designed in a modular way: the penis and prostate are removable and replaceable, the perineum, testicles and bowel are a separate component, as is the abdominal wall.

This model forms a part of a group of models which provide for a full range of examinations which would need to be carried out on the male patient. A Foley catheter size 16, and retrograde catheters can be used in examination.

Diagnostic Prostate Trainer (60364)
The recent advances in urological and prostatic diagnostic teachings has highlighted the need for realistic training in clinical examination of the prostate.

Our model has a convincing anus and rectum mounted on a plastic representation of the human buttocks, presented in the correct lateral position for clinical examination.

The model is supplied with a number of interchangeable prostates; normal, benign prostatic hypertrophy, unilateral enlargement and advanced carcinoma. These fit into the removable anus/rectum assembly and are interchangeable.

The trainee is able to gain experience in digital examination of a number of prostatic conditions. The examiner can therefore set up a range of structured examinations known to him or her but unknown to the trainee.

The orientation and feel of the model has been made as close as possible to the real thing, making this model ideal for use in clinical medical training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
